Descrizione:Indisetron is a drug that belongs to the group of low-potency antipsychotics. It is used in the treatment of cancer and other hyperproliferative disorders, as well as inflammatory bowel disease. Indisetron has been shown to have antiemetic properties in patients undergoing chemotherapy or other emetogenic procedures. This drug also has affinity constants for the neurokinin-1 receptor, which is an important factor in nausea and vomiting. Indisetron binds to this receptor and blocks its binding site, thereby inhibiting the production of serotonin that induces vomiting. This drug also has affinity constants for receptors on the brain stem, which may be responsible for its ability to relieve nausea and vomiting.
