Descrizione:2-Isoniazid is a drug that is used to treat bowel diseases, such as Crohn's disease. It binds to the receptor site of the enzyme acetylcholine esterase and inhibits its activity. This prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine, which leads to increased levels of acetylcholine in the body. 2-Isoniazid has been shown to have antiproliferation activity against tumor cells and also has anti-inflammatory effects on autoimmune diseases. The drug also has been shown to inhibit nitrogen atoms from binding with proteins by coordinating with picolinic acid molecules.
