Descrizione:Isopropyl myristate is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used to treat inflammatory conditions. It can be found in cosmetics, toiletries, and skin care products. Isopropyl myristate has been shown to inhibit the production of water vapor from skin cells and the development of allergic symptoms in vitro. It also has a role in preventing water loss from the skin by acting as a barrier to water vapor. This compound is also able to inhibit autoimmune diseases by inhibiting hiv infection in a model system. Isopropyl myristate has been shown to have antifungal properties and antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Bacillus cereus, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
