Descrizione:2-Iodobenzotrifluoride is a chemical compound that inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the aryl boronic acid groups of proteins. This compound also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as a control agent for inflammatory diseases. 2-Iodobenzotrifluoride is soluble in hydrocarbon solvents and reacts with sodium ions to produce sodium-dependent glucose, which can be used as an energy source for cells. The trifluoromethyl group of 2-iodobenzotrifluoride binds to the amino acids serine and histidine, inhibiting their activity. It also inhibits other enzymes such as cholesteryl ester transfer protein and carbonic anhydrase, which are involved in the production of cholesterol.
