Descrizione:Imazalil is an inhibitor of fungal growth. It has been shown to be effective against gastrointestinal diseases in experimental models, but is not currently approved for human use. Imazalil is used as a fungicide for postharvest treatment of fruits and vegetables that have been contaminated with fungi. Imazalil is also used in wastewater treatment, where it can be mixed with other chemicals such as benzalkonium chloride, which are known to have synergic effects. The toxicity of imazalil has been studied extensively in both animal and cell cultures.
