Descrizione:4-Iodo-2-methylphenol is an antiobesity drug that is a synthetic derivative of 4-iodoaniline. It has been shown to bind to the receptor y181c, which is found on the surface of fat cells. The ligand, which is a specific chemical structure that binds to this receptor, may be able to block the uptake of lipids by fat cells, thereby reducing body weight and cholesterol levels. 4-Iodo-2-methylphenol also has sulfide groups that make it more soluble in water than other similar drugs.
