Iristectorin A is a natural product that has been shown to have anti-cancer activity in vitro and in vivo. Iristectorin A also has the ability to inhibit the proliferation of other types of cancer cell lines, including T-cell leukemia. Studies have shown that Iristectorin A inhibits the growth of hepg2 cells and HepG2 cells, which are human liver cancer cells. The active ingredient in Iristectorin A is trifluoroacetic acid, which is used for medicinal preparations to treat hepatitis or dry weight. Iristectorin A is also effective against germination rates of many types of fungus and bacteria. It has been found to be effective against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium avium complex, as well as many other bacterial strains. This drug can also be used to prevent colon cancer because it suppresses lipid synthesis and reduces fatty acids on the cell surface.
