Descrizione:
1H-Indazol-5-ol is a neutralized dyestuff that belongs to the group of indazole compounds. It has chemotactic properties and can be used to promote the growth of cells in culture. 1H-Indazol-5-ol has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in cell cultures, by reducing the activation of voltage gated calcium channels and inhibiting glutamate release. This compound also induces dopamine release, which may be mediated by cyclic AMP and protein kinase A. 1H-Indazol-5-ol has also been shown to have an apoptotic effect on neuronal cells, but not on other types of cells such as bone tissue or dopaminergic neurons.
