• Descrizione: RWJ-51204 is a synthetic benzodiazepine that binds to the GABA receptor and has been shown to have anxiolytic properties. It has been shown to reduce the frequency of epileptiform activity in humans with severe dehydration and may be effective as an anti-epileptic drug. The clinical data on RWJ-51204 shows that it can be used for the treatment of anxiety disorders, such as posttraumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder. The drug substance is not currently available for sale in the United States but is being studied for its potential use in clinical trials. Doses of up to 5mg/kg have been found to be safe and well tolerated in human subjects. The effective dose of RWJ-51204 is 1mg/kg.
