Descrizione:Kanamycin B sulfate is a growth regulator that inhibits the activity of protein synthesis and DNA synthesis in bacteria. It binds to the 16S ribosomal RNA of bacteria, inhibiting protein synthesis and the production of proteins vital for cell division. Kanamycin B sulfate has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) infection in a model system. The structure of kanamycin B sulfate was determined by powder x-ray diffraction, which showed that it is a crystalline material with a molecular weight of 524.3 Da. Kanamycin B sulfate is also an aminoglycoside antibiotic with anti-viral properties, which can be used as antiviral agents against virus type 1 (HIV).
