It has been shown to be effective for the analysis of chromatographic methods, such as ion chromatography. 2KA is also a chromatographic method that has been used for the determination of oxopropanoate, glyoxylate, and other analytes in environmental monitoring. The recovery of 2KA is 97% when it is used with ozonation. Analytical recoveries are typically 99%.
