Descrizione

Kaempferol-3-O-rhamnoside is a polyphenolic compound that has been shown to have insecticidal properties. It binds to the response element of the insect polyhedrosis virus and inhibits its replication process. Kaempferol-3-O-rhamnoside also inhibits the polymerase chain reaction, which may be due to its ability to bind with p-hydroxybenzoic acid in DNA. This binding prevents DNA from being transcribed into RNA, thereby inhibiting viral replication. The insecticidal properties of this compound are attributed to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis by preventing the transcription and translation of mRNA into protein.
