Descrizione:Cnt2 inhibitor-1 is a research tool that is used in the study of ion channels. It has been shown to inhibit Ligand-gated ion channels, such as nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and serotonin 5-HT3 receptors. Cnt2 inhibitor-1 also binds to peptide neurotransmitter receptors, such as the NMDA receptor. This binding prevents ligands from binding to the receptor and inhibits activation of the receptor. Cnt2 inhibitor-1 can be used in pharmacological studies for identifying drugs that have affinity for a specific type of ligand-gated ion channel or peptide neurotransmitter receptor, as well as for studying protein interactions.
