Descrizione:2,4-Lutidine is a colorless liquid that is soluble in organic solvents. It has been shown to be an effective ligand for copper. 2,4-Lutidine reacts with water molecules to form a glycol ether and adenosine A3 receptor. This product also has shown the ability to activate amines and form metal complexes with copper. 2,4-Lutidine has been used as a solvent for other chemical reactions and is also used in the production of polyurethane foams. The compound undergoes an intramolecular hydrogen transfer when heated, which results in a higher boiling point than would otherwise be expected from its molecular weight. The thermal expansion of this compound was determined by measuring the change in volume over time at different temperatures. Molecular modeling studies have shown that 2,4-lutidine belongs to group P2, whose members are all liquids or gases at room temperature and pressure.
