Descrizione:H-Leu-Val-Tyr-AMC is a model compound that belongs to the group of sulfonamides. It is synthesized and used as a chymotrypsin-like protease inhibitor. H-Leu-Val-Tyr-AMC has been shown to inhibit the activity of chymotrypsin, a serine protease, by binding to its active site. This inhibition leads to an increase in the time required for digestion of proteins and peptides, which may be due to the steric hindrance created by the bulky H-Leu-Val-Tyr. H-Leu-Val-Tyr amide also has antiinflammatory properties, which are thought to be caused by its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
