Descrizione:Laricitrin is a chemical compound that is found in plants, such as the leaves of the rosemary plant. It has been investigated for its potential anticancer properties. In vitro studies have shown that laricitrin can inhibit growth and proliferation of liver cells, which is a hallmark of cancer. Laricitrin may also be used to improve blood group specificity by inhibiting the expression of ABO erythrocyte membrane antigens. The molecule is not toxic to cells in culture at doses up to 10 mM, but does show some toxicity in mice at high doses. This compound has been shown to induce cell death by apoptosis and inhibit tumor growth by inducing cellular differentiation and inhibiting angiogenesis and metastasis.
