Descrizione:Bardoxolone is a natural compound that is derived from the seeds of the plant Acacia victoriae. It has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity, with an IC50 of 0.8 mM. The mechanism of action appears to be related to the induction of reactive oxygen species and activation of mitochondrial functions, leading to apoptosis. Bardoxolone also has anti-inflammatory activities through its inhibition of NF-κB and Nf-kB pathways. Bardoxolone has also been shown to have natriuretic peptide levels in response to renal injury, as well as cardiac effects due to its nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory activity.
