• Descrizione: (4-Methoxybenzylidene)Malononitrile (MBN) is a small-molecule drug that inhibits the tyrosine kinase activity of basic proteins. It has been shown to inhibit neuronal death and the angiogenic process in vitro. MBN has also been shown to be an inhibitor of the polymerase chain reaction, which is used in DNA amplification. This compound binds reversibly to the enzyme and prevents it from binding to DNA, thereby inhibiting its activity.
