Descrizione:Delta-MSH is a melanocortin receptor agonist that binds to the melanocortin receptors and stimulates the release of ACTH. It is expressed in tissues such as the dogfish, mouse and human, and has a high affinity for these receptors. Delta-MSH binds to the melanocortin receptors and induces the release of ACTH from the pituitary gland. This compound is also able to stimulate the release of cAMP from cells in tissue culture. The cloning and sequencing of this peptide has revealed that it contains tryptophan residues at cyclic sequences that are involved in its function.br>br>
