Informazioni sul prodotto
- Benzaldehyde, 4-(4-methylbenzyloxy)-
- Benzaldehyde, 4-[(4-Methylphenyl)Methoxy]-
4-[(4-Methylbenzyl)oxy]benzaldehyde is a retinoid that is used as a synthetic precursor to retinoic acid. It has been shown to have anti-cancer properties in epithelial cancers, such as breast and prostate cancer, and also has been investigated for its ability to prevent the development of skin cancer. The synthesis of 4-[(4-methylbenzyl)oxy]benzaldehyde involves a sequence of chemical reactions that produce yields of up to 10%. This compound has been studied extensively in biological studies and research, including the synthesis of analogs with different substituents on the aromatic ring. 4-[(4-Methylbenzyl)oxy]benzaldehyde is toxic in high doses, but can be synthesized efficiently with benzyl chloride.
