Informazioni sul prodotto
2-Methyloxazole is a chiral amide that inhibits mitochondrial fatty acid synthesis by binding to the enzyme enoyl-CoA hydratase. It also has inhibitory activity against other enzymes in the mitochondrial pathway, such as dihydroceramide desaturase and dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase. 2-Methyloxazole has been shown to be an effective treatment for cancer and metabolic disorders, such as insulin resistance and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. This drug may also be useful in treating chronic pain and neuropathic pain associated with cancer. 2-Methyloxazole is a precursor of phorboxazole, which is being studied as a possible treatment for the pandemic H1N1 influenza virus (Covid-19).
