4-Methoxyphenylmagnesium bromide - 0.5M solution in THF is a cytotoxic agent that binds to the estrogen receptor, which is involved in breast cancer cell proliferation and differentiation. It is an azide that has been shown to react with hydrochloric acid to form an amide. This reaction may be stereoselective and involve dehydration of the amine group.
