Descrizione

Monoacetin-technical is a compound that belongs to the group of alkanoic acids. It has shown antibacterial efficacy against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The reaction mechanism of monoacetin-technical is not fully understood, but it may be due to its ability to react with the hydroxyl groups on glycol ethers, leading to the formation of an insoluble compound. Monoacetin-technical has also been shown to have a good surface activity in terms of its ability to adsorb at low concentrations and produce a high degree of inhibition. It has been used in the synthesis of chitosan quaternary ammonium compounds, which are widely used as antimicrobial agents.
