• Descrizione: Maohuoside A is a potent, novel, and selective inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) that has been shown to inhibit the activity of PP2A in vitro. In vivo studies have shown that Maohuoside A inhibits osteoblast proliferation and mineralization in a dose-dependent manner. Maohuoside A also inhibits PP2A activity in osteoblasts from human bone marrow cells. PP2A is an enzyme that dephosphorylates tyrosine residues on proteins and plays an important role in the regulation of gene transcription. This inhibition may be due to the ability of Maohuoside A to bind to PP2A with high affinity and its ability to prevent ATP hydrolysis by this enzyme.
