(S)-2-Methylbutylamine is a chiral molecule that has been shown to have magnetic properties. It is also used as an intermediate for the synthesis of other drugs and pharmaceuticals. (S)-2-Methylbutylamine is a member of the phenethylamine family, which includes methamphetamine, amphetamine, and mescaline. This molecule was first synthesized in 1969 by R. Breslow et al. The n-terminal amino acid sequence showed that it belongs to the spongiidae family of proteins. (S)-2-Methylbutylamine has been studied using NMR spectroscopy, with diastereoselectivities observed in cucurbiturils at temperatures below -60 degrees Celsius.
