Malaoxon is a pesticide that inhibits the activity of detoxification enzymes. It is not toxic to mammals and has shown no teratogenic or embryotoxic effects in animal studies. Malaoxon is not absorbed through the skin, so it can be used as a fumigant for grain storage. Malaoxon also has inhibitory properties against p450 activity and enzyme activities in vitro. It is stable under a wide range of environmental conditions and does not react with phosphorus pentoxide or water vapor. The toxicity of malaoxon has been studied extensively, and there are no indications of adverse effects on the environment or human health at sublethal doses.
