Descrizione:(E)-3-O-Methyl entacapone is a hydroxy group that has been shown to be an impurity in the bulk drug. It was detected by a test solution and its concentration was determined using regression. The presence of nitro, monocarboxylic acid, 5-nitrovanillin, and acetonitrile can also cause impurities in the bulk drug. (E)-3-O-Methyl entacapone is used as a diluent for potential impurities that may be present in the bulk drug. The flow rate of the amide chromatography was increased to 2 mL/min to increase the separation of (E)-3-O-Methyl entacapone from other impurities.
