Descrizione:Monobutyl phthalate is a phthalate that is used in plastic and rubber products. It has been shown to cause oxidative injury to the rat liver, with decreased mitochondrial membrane potential, as well as impaired energy metabolism. Monobutyl phthalate also increased body mass index in rats and caused toxicity studies. Monobutyl phthalate may be carcinogenic, as it was found to cause DNA mutations in cultured human cells.
