Descrizione:Monomethyl phthalate (MMP) is a metabolite of di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP). MMP is an environmental contaminant that is known to be toxic. It can cause adverse effects on the environment and human health. MMP has been shown to have strong antibacterial properties, which may be due to its hydroxyl group and intramolecular hydrogen. The biological activity of MMP has been demonstrated by its ability to inhibit growth in tissue culture, specifically bacterial strains such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis. This compound also has pharmacokinetic properties that are dependent on the ester linkages in the molecule. Monomethyl phthalate is metabolized by hydrolysis or oxidation into monobutyl phthalate (MBP), monoclonal antibody, or monoisopropyl phthalate (MIP). These
