Descrizione:Methoprene is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of synthetic pyrethroids. It is used as an insecticide in veterinary medicine and agriculture, as well as in animal health. Methoprene has been shown to have low potency and a terminal half-life of about 7 hours in dogs and cats. Methoprene also inhibits the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by inhibiting the activity of DNA polymerase, preventing DNA replication. This compound has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on plant science, infectious diseases, chronic exposure, and skin condition in untreated animals. Transcriptomic analysis has demonstrated that methoprene alters gene expression in the skin of untreated animals.
