Methyl 4-MethylcinnaMate is an organosilicon compound that is used as a medicine to regulate the manufacture of industrial chemicals. This drug can be synthesized by the nucleophilic attack of lithium diisopropylamide on methyl ester. Methyl 4-MethylcinnaMate has been shown to have high yield in reactions, and it is also a good linker for organic molecules. It has been shown to inhibit the production of nitric oxide and prostaglandins, which are known to be a cause of environmental pollution. Methyl 4-methylcinnaMate may also be effective in treating diseases such as ozagrel, which is a blood platelet aggregation inhibitor that causes vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage.
