Descrizione:4-Methyl-2,5-diphenylpyridine (4MP) is a ligand that has been found to have high efficiencies for photochemical reactions. It is homoleptic with an efficiency of 0.02%. 4MP has been used in research and development for solar cells. The coordination environment of 4MP is systematic, with the highest values of efficiency occurring at pH 5.3, 6.8 and 8.2. This ligand also has a low quantum yield of 0.01% when it is used as a photosensitizer in organic light emitting devices (OLEDs).
