Descrizione

Methacrylic acid is a water-soluble monomer that is soluble in organic solvents and can be polymerized to form polymers. Methacrylic acid has been used as a biocompatible film-forming polymer for tissue engineering applications. It has also been shown to have synergistic effects with other compounds, such as sodium-dependent glucose and trifluoroacetic acid (TFAA), which may be due to its ability to cause the formation of hydrogen bonds. Methacrylic acid can be used in antimicrobial peptide particle production and cell culture. This compound is also a biological function indicator that can be used as a marker for environmental pollution.
