• Descrizione: 4-(Morpholin-4-yl)benzonitrile is a synthetic compound that is used in the synthesis of other drugs, as well as in the treatment of tuberculosis. It has been shown to be effective against resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex. 4-(Morpholin-4-yl)benzonitrile binds to the mycobacterial 16S ribosomal RNA and inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. 4-(Morpholin-4-yl)benzonitrile has also been shown to have antimycobacterial activity and can inhibit bacterial growth by interfering with DNA replication. The physicochemical properties of this drug are not yet known.
