Descrizione:3-Methoxybenzylamine is a fatty acid amide that is synthesized from benzylamine derivatives. The compound is a viscosity enhancer and antioxidant, and has been shown to inhibit the reaction of 3-hydroxybutyric acid with hydrochloric acid. 3-Methoxybenzylamine has also been used as a dietary supplement in tissue samples to reduce the effects of oxidation on the fatty acid chains. This compound has an asymmetric synthesis, which can be achieved by reacting an amine with an acyl chain.
