Descrizione

2-Methylanthraquinone is an oxygenated, fatty acid that has shown genotoxic effects in rat liver microsomes. It is also resistant to deoxylapachol and monoclonal antibodies. 2-Methylanthraquinone can be used as a treatment for c. glabrata and has been shown to have high resistance to wastewater treatment. The acetate extract of 2-methylanthraquinone was found to have the same effect on cancer cells as the monoclonal antibody against c. glabrata. This extract has also been shown to inhibit transfer reactions in analytical methods for determining the concentration of deoxylapachol in a sample mixture by gas chromatography.
