Descrizione:Magnesium salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that acts as an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory agent. Magnesium salicylate is the magnesium salt of salicylic acid and has anti-inflammatory properties. It is used to relieve pain or fever in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, or dysmenorrhea. This drug also binds to odorant molecules and prevents them from activating olfactory receptors, which may be beneficial for patients with asthma. Magnesium salicylate has been shown to inhibit the reaction mechanism of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes by blocking the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandin H2 (PGH2). This inhibition leads to less production of inflammatory mediators such as thromboxane A2 (TXA2), prostacyclin I1 (PGI1), and leukotriene B4 (
