Descrizione:Methyl tetrahydropyran-4-carboxylate (MTHPC) is a synthetic chemical that is used as a drug for the treatment of tuberculosis. MTHPC inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the CB1 receptor, which leads to the inhibition of protein synthesis, cell division, and cell wall biosynthesis. MTHPC has been shown to be effective against resistant strains of tuberculosis in vitro and in vivo. MTHPC is also an alkylating agent with significant activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates.
