2-N-Methylaminoethyl chloride·HCl is a nitro compound that has been programmed to inhibit PD-1. It is an inhibitor of this protein, which is involved in the regulation of immune responses. Inhibition of PD-1 can lead to an increase in T cell function and proliferation, as well as the production of cytokines. 2-N-Methylaminoethyl chloride·HCl has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of PD-1 with a Ki value of 2 nM, and it inhibits PD-L1 at concentrations up to 10 μM.
