Descrizione:2-Methylpiperidine is a molecule that can be synthesized by solid-phase synthesis. It is an inhibitor of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and has been shown to have a blood pressure-lowering effect. 2-Methylpiperidine has been found to inhibit the reaction between nicotinic acetylcholine and the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which inhibits the response of the muscle cell. The inhibitory effect of 2-methylpiperidine on this reaction is due to its hydroxyl group, which forms hydrogen bonds with the lysine amino acid in the receptor. This inhibition prevents the passage of ions through the membrane and leads to decreased muscle contractions.
