(1-Methylethyl)boronic acid is a boronic acid that can be used as a catalyst in organic synthesis. This compound is an organometallic compound that has been shown to be a good catalyst for the polymerization of olefins, and for the preparation of copolymers with polyenes. It can also be used in asymmetric synthesis and as a site-specific ligand in transition metal catalyzed reactions.
