6-Methoxyflavanone is a flavonoid compound found in plants that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and COX-2 inhibitory properties. 6-Methoxyflavanone has also been shown to have neuroprotective effects in animal models of diabetes and neuropathy. This compound has been shown to have pharmacokinetics and metabolism studies in rats and mice. 6-Methoxyflavanone has also been shown to have an experimental model for the study of inflammation, oxidative stress, and neurodegeneration.
