Descrizione:2-Methyl-3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid is an organic compound. It can be prepared by the nitration of 2-methylphenol with a mixture of sulfuric and nitric acids followed by hydrolysis. The chromatographic method for this compound consists in dissolving the crude product in acetone and eluting it with a mixture of benzene and ether. The isolated yield of this compound was 10% from 5g of 2-methylphenol. Acetylsalicylic acid, biphenyl, and amide are solutes in the solvent used for chromatography.
