1-Methyl-3-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-1h-pyrazole is a reagent in organic synthesis. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of pinacol esters and isomers thereof. 1-Methyl-3-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-1h pyrazole can be prepared by diazotization with sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid followed by heating in an alcoholic solution of pinacol.
