Descrizione:Netupitant is an antiemetic drug that is used to treat bowel disease. It has been shown in a two-way crossover study to have biological properties in the treatment of disease activity. Netupitant inhibits the neurokinin-1 receptor and matrix effect, which are responsible for the development of cancerous cells. The drug also has inhibitory properties on p-gp substrates and netupitant, which prevents it from being absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract. This allows netupitant to be transported through the blood-brain barrier into malignant brain tumours, where it can act as a cytotoxic agent.
