4-Nitrophenylmorpholine is a synthetic compound that is derived from morpholine and 4-nitrophenol. It has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the catalytic reduction of nitro groups, which are commonly found in organic solvents. 4-Nitrophenylmorpholine has also been used as a reagent in the synthesis of copper complexes with aryl halides. The reaction time between 4-nitrophenylmorpholine and copper bromide can be controlled by varying the concentration of the reactants. The dihedral angle between the two molecules can also affect the rate of reaction. This material is a clear liquid at room temperature, with a boiling point of 128°C and melting point of -103°C.
