Descrizione:
Nickel nitrate hexahydrate is a catalyst that can be used to promote the oxidation of alcohols and organic acids. The compound is soluble in water and interacts with hydrogen fluoride, forming nickel(II) fluoride and releasing hydrogen gas. Nickel nitrate hexahydrate has been shown to be toxic to humans, causing skin irritation, dermatitis, and eye irritation. It has also been shown to cause hemolysis in red blood cells as well as neurotoxicity in rats.
