Cis-nonachlor is a chlorinated hydrocarbon that is used as an insecticide. It has shown to be effective against certain infectious diseases, such as malaria and Chagas disease. Cis-nonachlor is able to inhibit the transport of hepg2 cells by binding to response elements on their surface and blocking the transport pathways. The transport of cis-nonachlor into human adipose tissue was also found to be statistically significant in relation to body mass index (BMI) and age.
