Descrizione:Naphthalene-2-sulfonic acid hydrate is a synthetic organic acid that has been used as a viscosity control agent in the production of clopidogrel. It is also an antiplatelet agent, which inhibits platelet aggregation by blocking adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptors on the surface of the platelets and preventing ADP from binding to these receptors. Naphthalene-2-sulfonic acid hydrate is also used in pharmaceutical formulations such as tablets, capsules, and ointments. It has been shown to be pharmacologically equivalent to 1-naphthalenesulfonic acid, and is soluble in acidic solutions.
