Descrizione:Norvancomycin hydrochloride is a chromatographic antibiotic that belongs to the group of teicoplanin. It is a semi-synthetic derivative of vancomycin. Norvancomycin hydrochloride has been shown to have therapeutic efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Norvancomycin hydrochloride is an ionizable molecule that binds to the bacterial cell wall by competitive inhibition. This binding prevents the formation of an antibiotic-inhibitor complex with the enzyme cell wall synthesis that is required for cell wall biosynthesis, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division.
